TERI Campus of Life connects its work with people with developmental disabilities to equestrian programs in San Marcos. Its Therapeutic Equestrian Program includes riding and ground skills, with activities adapted to participants. A separate TERI Equine Experience offers unmounted activities for individuals and groups interested in communication and working together around horses.

Those are different entry points: someone seeking an adapted participant program should contact that team, while a group outing starts with the Equine Experience inquiry. The community experience does not require riding. TERI also has a general volunteer intake process; ask about equine-related needs specifically rather than assuming every listed volunteer position involves the horses.
