San Diego Humane Society brings together companion-animal sheltering, fostering, community support and wildlife rehabilitation through Project Wildlife. Those programs create very different ways to help: caring for a pet at home, supporting shelter operations or contributing to the behind-the-scenes work that rehabilitation requires.

Its arranged group service is especially useful if you want to help alongside friends or colleagues. Projects can include preparing enrichment and supplies, supporting the Community Pet Pantry or helping with cleaning and grounds work for Project Wildlife. These are scheduled service opportunities shaped by program needs; they do not imply unrestricted animal handling or access to wildlife patients.
