Horse of the Sun Ranch is an Armed Services YMCA San Diego program in Pine Valley that welcomes military families, veterans and the wider public. Its natural-horsemanship approach includes learning on the ground as well as in the saddle, with grooming, leading and riding among the ways participants work with horses.

You can explore introductory lessons, children’s camps, group retreats or scheduled Ranch Days. There is also a separate volunteer route for horse care, daily ranch operations, maintenance and events, with volunteers of different experience levels invited to apply.
